New Jersey Coalition Against Sexual Assault Raises Over $43,000 at ‘Hope in Motion’ Community Walk

Bradley Beach, NJ—On Saturday, September 6, 2025, the New Jersey Coalition Against Sexual Assault (NJCASA) hosted Hope in Motion, a community walk held on the Bradley Beach Boardwalk. Formerly titled Movement for a Safer NJ, this third biennial event brought together supporters for a day of art, music, yoga, and a 1.5-mile walk, plus a robust online fundraising campaign in the months leading up to the event.

A total of $43,783 was raised, which will go toward strengthening prevention efforts and survivor support services across the state.

For over 40 years, NJCASA has been one of New Jersey’s leaders in the anti-sexual violence movement and the capacity building specialist providing support to member programs across the state. Through a collaborative fundraising model, NJCASA invited its member programs to raise funds for their own organizations through the Hope in Motion campaign.

A total of 14 programs opted to participate, raising a combined total of $21,670. Of that amount, $16,252.50 will be distributed right back to their respective agencies, as each program will keep 75% of what they fundraised, with the remaining 25% going toward event costs.

Participating programs included: 180 Turning Lives Around, Community Affairs and Resource Center (CARC), Domestic Abuse and Sexual Intervention (DASI), Family Service League/SAVE of Essex, Harambe Social Services, Healthy Families & Communities, Hudson SPEAKS, Morris County Sexual Assault Center, Rutgers Office of Violence Prevention and Victim Assistance New Brunswick, SAFE in Hunterdon, Salem County Women’s Services, St. Francis Counseling Center, Younity, and YWCANNJ.

NJCASA extends its deep gratitude to this year’s event sponsors, including: Horizon Blue Cross and Blue Shield of NJ, PSEG, Advocacy & Management Group, Holman Automotive, Delta Dental, Division Web Design, Millennium Strategies, Planned Parenthood Action Fund of New Jersey, ReciteMe, RedEye, Vin Gopal Civic Association, and Women’s Holistic Wellness.

Hope in Motion continues to serve as a powerful reminder that collective action can inspire hope, build safer communities, and support survivors statewide.
