Sarah Bear is the Capacity Building Specialist for NJCASA. She is responsible for engaging New Jersey communities as partners and allies to prevent and respond to sexual violence, which includes providing trainings to allied professionals and developing educational materials for public consumption. Additionally, she manages NJCASA’s Social Media Ambassador program, a group of passionate online volunteer activists who promote constructive conversations about sexual violence and rape culture.

Sarah began her journey in the anti-sexual violence movement during her undergrad years at Albright College in Reading, PA. She continued her work in a professional capacity at CONTACT of Burlington County where she gained experience in both direct service and prevention, providing her with a micro-level lens for her macro-level work at the Coalition. She is currently pursuing a Masters of Public Health from the George Washington University. Sarah is committed to the belief that ending sexual violence requires commitment from all community members and is dedicated to the belief that prevention is possible.
