On May 14th, Janssen Research & Development, LLC, a Johnson & Johnson company, along with Saving Promise, convened a summit to discuss interpersonal violence. The summit provided an opportunity for a diverse group of professionals to discuss the ways in which violence impacts our communities. Patricia Teffenhart, NJCASA’s executive director, spoke to the ways in which traditional and non-traditional media impacts rape culture and influences survivor outcomes. Her talk includes discussion points about policy and legislation, primary prevention with expecting parents and caring adults, and samples from NJCASA’s Media Literacy prevention curriculum.See video below .
